Indigo

Description

Indigo, one of the oldest blue pigments used worldwide, is a deep blue color that can vary from dark black to pale blue. It was initially obtained from plants similar to the blue woad used by the ancient Britons. However, it was synthesized in 1878 in Germany, which made it more easily accessible and affordable.
