Founder’s Story
1995
After graduating from university, I worked as a sales representative in a state-owned enterprise.
One day, I discovered that the European and American art materials market was booming,
with strong demand for high-quality oil painting canvases.
Yet China had almost no professional manufacturers.
After more than six months of thorough research,
I firmly believed:
Chinese manufacturing could offer the world’s artists better canvases.
In 1995, Phoenix Art Materials was officially founded in Huazhuang, Wuxi.
For more than two decades,
I have carried that original passion and persistence,
step by step,
growing Phoenix from a small workshop
into a professional art materials company serving artists and institutions in over 60 countries.
