Indigo

Description

Indigo is a deep blue pigment, ranging in color from deep blackish-blue to a lighter blue. It was originally extracted from plants similar to the woad used by ancient Britons, and was synthesized in Germany in 1878. It is one of the oldest widely used blue pigments.
