In April 15th to May 5th, 2023, after three years of silence, the Guangzhou Pazhou International Exhibition Center once again hosted the familiar scene of global clients gathering. Buyers from over 220 countries and regions gathered in the Flower City to attend the 133rd China Import and Export Fair (referred to as “Canton Fair”). This year’s Canton Fair set records in terms of exhibition area, number of participating companies, and visitor traffic, making it the largest Canton Fair in history. It is also the first comprehensive offline trade event after the pandemic. Many Chinese companies, including Phoenix Art Materials, made a strong appearance and returned with full loads. For many Chinese foreign trade companies that have been suffering from the pandemic, this Canton Fair is like a “long-awaited relief,” bringing new hope for a comprehensive recovery
Phoenix Art Materials has a long-standing relationship with the Canton Fair. Through this platform, Phoenix Art Materials not only sells its products around the world but also spreads its brand to the global community of art material users. In order to better showcase its brand image, Phoenix Art Materials designed a modern and eye-catching exhibition hall visual image for this year’s Canton Fair and brought its latest artist-grade high-end pigment products, attracting the interest of many professional buyers. During the exhibition, more than 200 clients with clear cooperation intentions were received, nearly 80% of which were new customers. After returning from Guangzhou, Chen Jiejun, sales director of the third department of Phoenix Art Materials’ import and export company, received several batches of clients who came to the company for inspection and negotiation within a week.
Behind the impressive exhibition performance is the perseverance and exploration of Phoenix Art Materials’ foreign trade team. Regardless of how the international trade situation changes, Phoenix’s foreign trade team always stands with global customers and strives to expand its territory. Looking at the evolution of the global consumer goods market in recent years, although the European and American consumer markets are still in an absolute dominant position, the consumer markets in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Oceania, and New Zealand are becoming increasingly active in the global trade map. For example, at this year’s Spring Fair, less than 20% of Phoenix Art Materials’ clients were from Europe and the United States, and more were from Singapore, South Korea, Japan, as well as emerging consumer markets in the Middle East and Australia.
It is worth mentioning that this year’s Canton Fair, from the materials used in the booths to catering, transportation, and the treatment of solid waste after the exhibition, always adhered to the concept of green environmental protection. Phoenix Art Materials’ booth was also selected as one of the “Green Booths” of the Canton Fair.

At this exhibition, Phoenix Art Materials and many other companies from Wuxi actively participated and received full support from government functional departments such as Wuxi Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Wuxi Economic Development Zone Economic Development Bureau. Leaders of relevant provincial and municipal government departments also visited and guided Phoenix Art Materials’ booth during the exhibition.
